Writer's Block: Fashion faux pas

At a thrift store with a friend, she picked out a thing I just HAD to have. Someone had taken a man's dark gray mohair suit coat, removed the sleeves and lapels, and covered the raw edges with strips of dark brown mink. The mink's tails hung down along the front of the (former) jacket.

All that said, it is very warm to wear, my workspace being very cold in those days, and if you can get past the fact that the mink died for this atrocity, definitely the weirdest piece of clothing-like substance I've ever had.
